What is Pinay Fitness?

The Challenge.

Real life.

Gravity.

Culture.

These are some of the major concern that most of us Pinays are facing.

We all want to have a fitness lifestyle but when the hustle and bustle of real life kicks in, we stop.
We usually complain that we don't have the time, too busy, etc.. but then again, we need to fight fat and gravity.
Gravity starts taking its toll on our 30s, and around that time fat also starts enveloping the muscles.. and this is not a good thing.

Another factor of concern is our Culture. Do you even wonder why an ideal Filipina should be referred to as a  Maria Clara and not a Gabriela Silang?




A common childhood story would be that one time a girl wants to learn how to ride your neighbor's bike but mom or lola would reprimand her because those are just boy-stuff.
Or playing tag or running around only to be scolded by her folks telling her to just play with toys and dolls.

This blog is in an effort to break away from the mold of how a Filipina is.

PinayFitness will talk about those goals and dreams that most of us have:  losing 20 pounds, having a successful business, wearing that swimsuit this summer, organizing our homes (and our lives), fixing our finances, travelling and exploring the world, helping our children to be the best they can be, etc. 

Career Oriented Ladies who are so busy climbing the corporate ladder but no time to climb the StairMaster..
Moms who spend all of their time in building their nest but eventually notice that they dont have time for themselves..
Students who focus all of their time on their studies (and gimmiks) that they don't have time..

This blog is for you, for me and everyone else in quest of their fitness goals, Filipina, non-Filipina or the men who supports their women and helps them achieve their goals.

Through this blog, I hope to be be sharing with you how these goals are approached, share tips and thoughts based on what was learned as we progress towards our goal.

This blog is open for activities like Running Clinics, Swim Clinics, Free Talk on Nutrition, and anything that would support the Fitness Lifestyle and love of the outdoors.
